We publish in print, online, via our social channels and create high-quality home and lifestyle-category content for clients in the studio and on location.We are now searching for the right person to step in as Art Director for a contract period of 27 May 2021 to 01 March 2022 (a 9-month period which may be extended to 01 June, 2022). The ideal candidate will have strong magazine and/or editorial design practice and share an enthusiasm for design, typography, interiors and architecture, and love magazines as a medium. The key responsibilities of the function will be producing editorial layouts and advertising concepts across a number of categories, and product image sourcing for various features. There is also scope to style photoshoots and creative projects for publication in the magazine. The prosperous candidate will be working closely with our editor and GM, and must have excellent interpersonal expertise, self-start, and demonstrate confidence and enthusiasm to prosper in the function. On a technical level a robust working expertise of Adobe CS and preparation of files for print is vital. expertise of social media outlets and basic online content management systems will also be advantageous. A full NZ driver's license is also required. This position will be located in our office in Kingsland, where you will be working with a small, friendly team who have a large pool of industry practice. We have a great office environment and allocated car park, and we provide a flexible work schedule when you need it. We envision the right applicant will require 30-40 hours per week in the function and can discuss terms with the prosperous candidate.
