About us Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day. Our vision for school property is that all schools have quality learning environments as part of a well-managed and sustainable portfolio that helps deliver equitable and excellent results for every child. The Capital Works Group (CW) manages Ministry led school construction projects across New Zealand. Capital Works projects equate to $300m (approx) in construction spend per year. The projects include new schools, school rebuilds, major/minor redevelopments, covering roll growth needs, weather-tightness remediation, structural strengthening and minor works. About the function You will be responsible for providing programme level tracking, monitoring and reporting to the Programme Manager and regional team. This includes the following: » Management and maintenance of programme date and documentation » Where appropriate implementing agreed solutions » Oversight, tracking and coordination of key programme deliverables » Responsibility for date integrity, sense check and challenge where data is questionable » Regular and ad hoc programme reporting » Coordinating Ministerial and OIA responses » Maintaining and continuously improving information management systems About you You will be someone who is both great with people and time management. A positive and can do attitude is a must. As this is an autonomous function the skill to encourage people to contribute in a timely manner will be key to your capability to meet regular and ad hoc deadlines. Your flair for organisation sees you keeping dependable records of progress, approvals and other significant documentation.
