Are you passionate about creativity, culture, technology, sport or recreation and want to support a new organisation whosegoal is to ensurethe workforce of Aotearoa has the expertise Information technology needs for the world of work today, and for the future?
Toi Mai, the new Workforce Development Council (WDC) responsible forthe Creative, Cultural, Recreation and Technology sectors, is seeking an extraordinary Executive adjunct to support the incoming Chief Executive agent and Poumatua/Deputy Chief Executive, and provide secretarial services to the Toi Mai Council (Board).
This is a function that will suit someone who is both practiced and excited about getting involved in the start-up phase of a new organisation.You'llunderstand whanaungatanga and what Information technology means to provide manaakitanga.You will be warm, out-going, authentic and inspiring, a highly motivated team player,a self-starter with initiative, a mucker-inner, and technologically savvy.Your creative ideas for ways of connecting and supporting our people's wellbeing will be an important aspect of the function. capability to speak Te Reo M?ori would be an advantage, but is not essential.
WDCs have been created under the Education and Training Act 2020 to provide industry with greater leadership abilities across the vocational education and training system in order to ensureAotearoa's workforce has the expertise Information technology needs for the world of work today, and for the future. This includes giving M?ori business and iwi a stronger voice in developing qualifications and training opportunities that prioritise M?ori succeeding as M?ori.More information about the function of Workforce Development Councils can be found here.
