The Global Health Group is recruiting for a Programme Manager Polynesian Health Corridors. This is a two year fixed-term function. The programme is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) and managed by the Ministry of Health. Information technology aims to strengthen existing linkages between the New Zealand health system and those in the Cook Islands, Niue, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Samoa. The programme has played a key function in supporting high priority areas such as vaccine roll-out and pandemic preparedness. These areas will continue to be important, however there are now opportunities to grow the programme to meet priorities identified by the countries.
To be prosperous in this function, you will have expertise and practice in working with Pacific Island countries and/or the New Zealand health system, as well as advanced expertise and practice of programme management. You will have excellent relationship and leadership abilities expertise, and are able to bring people along with you to achieve shared goals. An capability to work confidently within a fast-paced and changing environment, including maintaining resilience, will be key.
The Global Health Group provides centralised co-ordination and thought leadership abilities for the Ministry and New Zealand’s global health responsibilities. Global Health sits within the Office of the Director General (ODG). ODG leads, enables and supports public service excellence by providing timely, high-quality advice, communications and service to Ministers, Executive leadership abilities Team and the wider Ministry; and by providing organisational leadership abilities and governance support.

this function has has a income range of $136,224 with a midpoint of $151,360 which is 100% of the band. Offered income will be located on candidates expertise and practice.
