Want to work in a progressive tourist operation in a beautiful location? We are seeking for someone to work as our Catch-A-Fish guide/operator. Your main job will be to assist customers to catch their own salmon. tasks include a safety briefing, choosing the correct lure/bait, demonstrating technique, and taking the salmon for processing. When there are no bookings or walk-in customers, the CAF operator will assist the cafe team. Previous fishing practice (recreational) preferred, although full training will be given. This is a customer-facing function, so you need to be comfortable dealing with people. There are casual and permanent positions available. Help in finding accommodation can be provided. High Country Salmon boasts a floating cafe and a brand new fish shop on a working freshwater salmon farm just outside of Twizel.
