Our Centre of Health and Social Practice delivers health professional programs in nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, counselling, social work and primary health care. If you value working collaboratively and have the skills and practice to teach core counselling theory and skills we are keen to hear from you. Due to an increase of student numbers in our counselling programme we have a full-time, permanent position available in our social practice teaching team. To be eligible for consideration, you will possess the following: » Hold a postgraduate qualification in counselling, addictions, or a related field » Hold registration or be eligible to register with a counselling, or similar, registration body » Have current practice in the sector, either as a practitioner/counsellor or as a counsellor educator This is a permanent position, hours can be negotiated. Are you an ideal candidate? Ideally you will also demonstrate the following: » Have a competent application of m?tauranga M?ori in education and/or a well-being sector » Be able to teach and support ?konga/students in a manner that honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi » Hold a tertiary teaching qualification » Have proven skills in both face-to-face and on-line teaching moderation and assessment » Be active in research, scholarship and/or critical reflective research » Have access to reliable wifi services enabling frequent use of Moodle, Zoom and other teaching/learning platforms » Possess a valid permit to live and work in New Zealand Working at Wintec One of New Zealand’s leading tertiary institutes, Wintec’s focus is on innovation and a future vision.
