Background

This private sector company has recently secured a significant high profile facilities management contract in the essential services area. Although a large player elsewhere, they are a more recent entrant to the NZ market and offer some unique aspects to their service offerings. As a result of this success, they are now looking to expand operations to supplement their existing business. The New Zealand business is led by a highly respected operator in this field with a great track record of business growth.


What are we after?

We are seeking for someone who understands this industry and who is well-connected across the public and private sectors. Their target market is multi-site or large singular site operations. We need someone who has a strong network and who is not afraid to connect to the highest level, a strong communicator and negotiator. There is no prereqisite for specific qualifications but practice in facilities management or an industrial, construction, engineering or multi-faceted commercial environment would be advantageous.

Engagement

This client is very flexible as to the arrangement and when asked the criteria, he said they are more interested in what the person brings and whether it's one day a week or a few days, they are after someone who can add value and bring the contacts. Whilst there will be some requirement to go to the office in South Auckland, working remotely is fine. Should you currently be working part-time, as long as it's not in a competitive environment, this could suit.
