POSITION SUMMARY The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) is seeking an practiced fundraiser to build ANAM's philanthropic revenue by identifing and cultivating new philanthropic and corporate partners, nurturing existing supporters, and engaging and activating dormant/lapsed donors. DETAILS OF ENGAGEMENT Position title: Philanthropic Engagement Lead income: $66,486 (+ superannuation) Classification Level: C (ANAM Workplace Agreement) Time fraction: 1.0EFT (full time) Probationary period: three months Job employment Type: permanent continuing, subject to the prosperous completion of the probationary period Reports to: Deputy General Manager Job location: located at the Abbotsford Convent, Abbotsford Melbourne Commencement: Immediate start RESPONSIBILITIES » Mid level donor ($5K-$50K) research, prospecting, growth and engagement » Delivering ANAM's Annual Giving campaign and major fundraising events (Gala dinner) » Writing and superviseing the design, production and distribution of ANAM's major fundraising collateral including our Case for Support and donor updates demonstrating the impact of their giving and other related collateral » Identifying possible corporate partners for ANAM, seeking to engage their support and investment (with Deputy General Manager), and continuing management of these relationships » Conducting donor research and analysis: externally to understand trends in giving; in Tessitura to track the effectiveness of our fundraising activities; and further afield to identify new sources of fundraising revenue and new donors to approach KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Essential » practice and a demonstrated track record of success as a fundraiser (preferably in the arts or not-for-profit sectors) managing a portfolio of donors/potential donors » Sophisticated written and verbal communication expertise: confidence on the phone and practice putting together fundraising collateral like cases for support, donor proposals, aquittals, and newsletters » practice putting together fundraising campaigns and appeals using mail and online solicitation, web and print promotion » Current working knowledge of Tessitura (or similar CRM database like Salesforce) with a demonstrated availability to learn, explore and adopt new technologies » The capability to work autonomously (great organisational expertise)as well as practice working as part of a small close team » Capacity to attend events after hours - on a fair and rostered/agreedbasis - dependent on donor needs Desirable » practice securing and managing corporate sponsorships » An knowledge of the arts landscape in Australia, classical music and ANAM's function in this landscape.
