The Joint Venture for Family and Sexual Violence is seeking a talented Senior Advisor to work together with the Joint Venture Business Unit and working alongside the incoming Tangata whenua Ministerial Advisory Group. You will have an intimate expertise of m?tauranga Maori and a contemporary M?ori perspective and can implement Kaupapa M?ori frameworks and methodologies in the policy context.

To achieve great results in this function, as well as your solid practice you will also bring th following:
   » An intimate expertise of m?tauranga Maori and a contemporary M?ori perspective and can implement these frameworks and methodologies in the policy context
   » Comfort in operating in a tikanga / kaupapa M?ori environment, a degree of fluency in Te Reo M?ori
   » The capability to work in collaboration with peers and to influence key stakeholders across Government and NGO sector
   » Strong analytical and strategic planning expertise
   » Proven networks and connections across the family violence and sexual violence sector, both NGO and Government and proven practice in working with tangata whenua groups
   » Several years’ practice in policy or public-sector practice and/or demonstrable practice in a significant field
   » A significant tertiary qualification or equivalent expertise, expertise, and practice
   » Well-developed verbal and written communication expertise
M? te t?ma/About our team
In 2018, the Joint Venture for Family Violence and Sexual Violence was established to join up policy, strategy and funding for family violence and sexual violence. The Joint Venture brings together the significant chief executives of departments that hold the levers, services and policy settings needed to eliminate family violence and sexual violence. These chief executives operate as a board, making decisions together and setting priorities across the system. They are supported by a business unit that coordinates collaborative activity.

income range: The appointing income for this function will be between $84,366 and $110,172 located on expertise and practice.
