The Health Quality & Safety Commission (the Commission) is seeking to recruit a change implementation manager in the advance care planning team on a fixed-term contract until 30June 2024. We are seeking for a resilient person who thrives on driving change in complex systems.
The advance care planning and clinical communication programme (the Programme) was established in 2017 and is tasked with supporting the twenty district health boards and other health care providers with delivering person and whanau centric healthcare planning and delivery. The focus of our programme's mahi is to increase the access and acceptcapability of advance care planning for all New Zealanders, particularly for Maori as tangata whenua. We have a strong commitment to cultural safety to improve equity of health results in Aotearoa and to support a health system that works for all communities.
This position will specifically manage the implementation and change management for four key components of the national programme’s Nga Rauemi (tools and resources) workstream. This includes increasing the use of our consumer and whanau resources and exploring the vicapability and potential functionality of an advance care planning app.
this function will ensure the project and programme of work are managed in conformity with best practice project management approaches to meet agreed deliverables in terms of planning, timing, and quality expectations.
To be prosperous in this function you will have an in-depth knowledge and significant practice in managing change in a complex system. You will be able to demonstrate your capability to prosperously manage projects, including managing multiple tasks and priorities.
You will have an knowledge of a range of co-design methodologies and their application. You will be committed to achieving health equity and have practice working with Maori consumers and providers. You will be a great communicator with excellent interpersonal expertise who is able to foster good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership.
We will be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently as you will to be working alongside a dynamic and energetic team of people all working remotely.
The Health Quality & Safety Commission is a stand-alone Crown entity with a Board responsible to the Minister of Health. The Commission is responsible for assisting providers across the whole health and discapability sector, both private and public, to improve service safety and quality and therefore results for all those who use these services in New Zealand.
