Toi Ora Live Arts Trust (Toi Ora) is an arts organisation providing innovation and leadership abilities in the field of creativity in mental health recovery. Our aim is to bridge the gap for people who come into contact with mental health and other support services, through the exploration of creativity as a proven means to enhance recovery and maintain well-being. Our programme of workshops, classes, and exhibitions support people to develop their strengths and potential in the arts in a safe, non-institutional environment. We are pursuing a proactive, values-driven, communication and partnership Accelerator with practice in internal and external communication, storytelling, the capability to develop lasting partnerships and fundingpractice. About this function Reporting to the Director, the Communication and Partnership Accelerator will be part of a small team enriching lives through creativity, connection, and community, and contributing to the de-stigmatisation of mental health to create positive social change. Highly skilled in communication, passionate about the arts and able to develop partnerships and sourcing funding the Communication and Partnership Accelerator will be responsible for: » Effective internal and external communications both in written and verbal communication to a diverse stakeholder group » Building and maintaining sector relationships to support the development of an effective outreach programme » Seeking funding to enhance Toi Ora's sustainable and engaging programme of creativity » Enhancing the diverse creative programme For a copy of a detailed Job Description, emailSusanne@toirora.org.nz Toi Ora History Toi Ora began in a small factory space above a spectacles shop in Mount Eden. Information technology was first registered under the Charitable Trusts Act (1957) on July 13, 1995. As Toi Ora evolved, a larger space was needed, leading to its move to another space above a mechanic's workshop in Arch Hill. Finally, in August 2009, Toi Ora moved to its current location at 6 Putiki Street, Grey Lynn, where a long-held dream of having its own gallery became a reality. As the Trust began to make a difference and have a positive impact within the wider community, more funding was granted. With more space and money for resources, Toi Ora has been able to provide an increasingly diverse programme of classes covering the arts spectrum, and over the years, new and exciting courses continue to be introduced. Toi Ora's programme echoes the ?five ways to well-being" model of mental health: connect, take notice, keep learning, be active, give. Vision To enrich lives through creativity, connection and community Values Inclusivity, Respect, Partnership, Integrity, Advocacy and Purposefulness.
