M? te t?nga | About the function Position is Fixed Term for 18 Months Te Mana W?hine Pathway tautoko’s the Corrections system to be more effective by increasing our use of Kaupapa M?ori and wh?nau-centred approaches to our mahi. The vision for Te Mana W?hine is ?A coordinated, seamless end-to-end Kaupapa M?ori practice for W?hine M?ori in Ara Poutama Aotearoa?. As the first of the Te Mana W?hine initiatives , The Manager Te Mana W?hine Pathway is responsible for coordinating and delivering the Pathway at Christchurch Women’s Prison and in the Canterbury District. The income bracket for this vacancy is $110,091 – $155,423 and the job closes on Sunday 25th July 2021. M?u |About you In this unique and compensateing function you will lead the delivery of the Te Mana W?hine Pathway, which will transform the way we care for w?hine in ?tautahi. Your proven operational leadership abilities will be critical to inspire and drive initiatives through Kaupapa M?ori practice. Preferably, you will have respect and credibility in Te Ao Maori, with strong established networks and relationships in place to tautoko the mahi collaboratively with mana whenua, service providers, ng? w?hine and their wh?nau to create a system and services, so that ng? w?hine and their wh?nau thrive. You will need to ensure the integration and alignment of the pathway across both prison and community, as Information technology won’t be enough to have ?pockets of good practice’. You are a visionary by nature, not afraid of doing things differently in terms of succeeding with M?ori, and well versed to help bring others on that journey. Ng? p?kenga me ng? wheako | Skills and practice To be prosperous in this function, you will have: » Excellent knowledge of kaupapa M?ori (values, culture and tikanga) applying tikanga values to work processes and results » Significant practice in delivering large scale operational change in a diverse workforce. » Comfortable in Te Ao M?ori environment and applying tikanga values to work processes and results » Courageous in breaking new ground and prepared to lead and drive the initiative » Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with peers, stakeholders including Iwi M?ori, and enhancing relationships at senior levels.
