The Protected Disclosures (Protection of Whistleblowers) Bill is to come into force 1 July 2021. This Bill will replace the Protected Disclosures Act 2000 and continue to facilitate the disclosure and investigation of serious wrongdoing in the workplace, and to provide protection for employees and other workers who report concerns.
We are seeking for a Senior Strategic Advisor with practice in the Protected Disclosures Act 2000 to review the new Bill, provide advice and respond to enquiries around the new legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
   » Reviewing the Protected Disclosures (Protection of Whistleblowers) Bill and providing strategic advice around the results.
   » Defining peoples' rights under the legislation.
   » Reviewing internal and external policies impacted by the Bill.
   » Dealing with enquiries regarding the Protected Disclosures Act/Protected Disclosures (Protection of Whistleblowers) Bill.
To be considered for the function you must have the following expertise, practice and expertise:
   » significant practice in Protected Disclosures Act 2000.
   » practice in reviewing legislation.
   » Proven capability to motivate, mentor, guide and train staff members.
   » Strong research and writing expertise.
   » capability to be empathetic when discussing serious issues.
