With a team of 30 permanent staff, this organisation is forward thinking and are actively working on changing how they work. Sitting within the strategy and policy team in a leadership abilities position, this is your exciting opportunity as an practiced, success driven person to take charge and lead from the front. With their prioritisation framework now agreed the exciting part begins! With a clear knowledge of the organisation’s strategic objectives, you will take them through the redesign process underpinning their investment system, enabling them to benefit their diverse stakeholders and end user communities, ensuring the focus is on improving health and social equity, and advancing science. To achieve these results you will need to achieve high levels of stakeholder engagement and collaboration is at the core of the function. To succeed in the function, you will need a long-term view that will ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of health research in New Zealand, and an active commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi to achieve health equity for M?ori. Your practice: » Policy development and evaluation practice is important » Business process management and system design expertise are also key requirements » Well-developed project management expertise with proven stakeholder engagement practice » A health research background, or significant practice in health research and/or public policy is preferred but not required » In-depth knowledge of health research, methodologies and health issues in New Zealand is also preferred but not required If you have the expertise, and you’re looking to join a team that is passionate about creating positive change, helping others, and improving health and wellbeing - this is the function for you.
