Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

About the function
The Commercial Coordinator will work as part of a team that provides Commercial support, guidance and oversight to the wider EIS Group.
The function will provide support to the Senior Commercial Manager, Senior Commercial Specialist and the rest of the commercial team in the delivery of support and coordination activities. The function helps to ensure the commercial team are pr oviding service and value to our stakeholders.
Your key priorities will include the following:
   » everyday management of any email inboxes – coordinating the receipt, checking and processing of all requests through the use of workflow tools and other registers
   » Panel management and administration – supporting the coordination of the panels, administrative functions, and panel rules
   » Regular reporting against key commercial information and activities, providing regular updates to the wider team
   » Assisting the team with projects and initiatives where needed
   » Reviewing and coordinating contract documentation for approval and, ensuring all significant final versions of documents are collected and stored appropriately
About you
You will have proven coordination practice, providing support to busy teams and strong Microsoft Office expertise with the capability to manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets. A ‘can do’ attitude is important. practice within procurement in the public sector and an interest in the construction industry would be advantageous.
You will also offer the following:
   » Strong written and verbal communication expertise
   » capability to produce correspondence, proofread for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy
   » Computer expertise including spreadsheet and word processing programs, at a highly proficient level
   » The capability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
   » A Tertiary qualification in a related field is preferred but not essential
