Job Opportunity: Senior Test Analyst:MinEducationJob description:Job Description»Senior Test Analyst required to deliver testing services into exciting initiatives across MOE Businesses»Fixed-term 24-month permanent position within a tight and supportive team »located in Wellington CBD »$90,782 – $110,956 pa dependent on practice The Ministry of Education has an exciting opportunity for practiced professionals looking for two-year, fixed-term Senior Test Analyst function. this function sits within the Ministry’s Testing Services team, which forms part of a much wider ICT capcapability. This is a dynamic team responsible for delivering functional testing for everything from maintenance and enhancements to defect fixes and large-scale projects. The Senior Test Analyst are expected to drive and support all phases of the software testing lifecycle. This includes test planning, test design and preparation, test execution, test reporting as well as any close out activities. Having practice in Automation Testing will be an advantage for these positions as both will be working on our ERS programme which requires both manual and automation testing skills. The prosperous candidate will bring expertise, skills and practice in the following areas: » In depth expertise at least five years’ practice of working as a Test Analyst » practice with agile delivery methodologies (Scrum and Kanban etc) » Has consciousness of various test techniques that helps in accelerating software testing without compromising quality » Well versed with API testing tools, capability to write acceptance tests from user stories and desire to extend your skills in other areas of testing » Competent with SQL Querying to execute Database testing » Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written particularly business writing and reporting, ensure your communication is always clear and concise » Proven practice in writing test strategies, test plans and test summary reports » Competent in undertaking requirements analysis and establishing test coverage » Practiced in designing test sets, prioritising and providing general guidance » Proficient in writing test cases/scripts and/or procedures » practiced with document reviews and ensuring industry standards are upheld » Capable of performing defect management, including triage sessions, and reporting » Skilled in executing system and system integration tests » Proficient in regression testing and the maintenance of regression suites » Practiced in generating progress reports and conducting stakeholder management » practice in using TOSCA would be an advantage along with automation skills. » practice or consciousness of data migration testing practices and tools It is desirable, but not a pre-requisite, that the prosperous candidate has the following Appropriate qualifications: » A significant tertiary qualification » ISTQB Foundation certified » ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst certified Please note that NZ residency is required.
