Ng? k?rero m? te t?ranga – About the function
This pivotal function provides a supportive learning environment for our M?ori students along with strategic advice to the leadership abilities team in relation to M?ori initiatives including recruitment and retention of students in tertiary study. This will be located on the cultural imperatives of whakawhanaungatanga, manaakitanga, whakawhiti whakaaro and teina/tuakana. The function will also work closely with the University’s M?ori Mentor network.

Ko wai koe? – Who are you?
To be prosperous in this position, you will have previous practice working within or with M?ori organisations. You will be passionate about the development and support for M?ori students to be prosperous in their studies, your effective communication and relationship building expertise and also expertise and practice of Tikanga M?ori are essential, with preference given to candidates with fluency in Te Reo M?ori.
In addition, to the above, to be prosperous in this function you will have a significant tertiary qualification.
