We are seeking for Somebody with a passion for M?ori Land and Treaty of Waitangi law to join the Research Counsel team in the M?ori Land Court and Waitangi Tribunal. this function is located in the Chief Judge’s Chambers in Hamilton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate with an interest in the work of the M?ori Land Court and Waitangi Tribunal. candidates will need to have an LLB, with a good academic record, excellent written and oral communication expertise, and good computer literacy. In addition, candidates should be able to demonstrate their practice at working independently towards deadlines, well-developed analytical expertise, and the capability to maintain confidentiality. candidates should either have expertise of te reo and tikanga M?ori or an interest in developing this.

We are pursuing candidates whose analytical and legal research expertise are impressive, along with their commitment to developing them; who are interested in the complex and diverse work of the M?ori Land Court and the Waitangi Tribunal; and who can provide high quality, reliable legal research opinions, prepare legal memoranda, directions and other documents, and interact regularly with M?ori Land Court judges as well as the Research Counsel team.

The Research Counsel team is responsible for supporting M?ori Land Court judges and Waitangi Tribunal presiding agents by providing high quality legal research, drafting and advice concerning applications before the M?ori Land Court and Waitangi Tribunal.

income range: The appointing income for this function will be between $63,019 to $82,295 located on expertise and practice.
