Information Technology provides the Ministry with the support Information technology needs to plan, deliver, use and maintain a range of Information technology Systems. ICT Strategy, Planning, and Architecture (SPA) work with the Ministry and education sector to ensure clear alignment and connection between business strategy, Digital strategy, and digital solution design. We have recently undertaken a review of our current workforce and have identified a number of functions we need to fill to ensure that our strong delivery commitment is continued at its high standard and as a result of this We are seeking for a Senior Technical Architect to join the team. The prosperous candidate will be involved in signif icant digital initiatives that will have the capability to transform the way the New Zealand Education System is supported and operated, making a material difference for all New Zealanders. About this function We are seeking for a Senior Technical Architect – Identity and Access Management Part of this function, you will be responsible for the following: » Working on large NZ Education sector wide projects which will make a real difference in children and young people’s lives by improving interactions between teachers, learners, whanau etc » Providing technical leadership abilities and mentoring for teams in the technology domain of identity and access management » Define best practice and standards relating to the Identity and Access Management technical domain » Working with teams to design functional technology solutions About you You will bring a range of skills and practice in the following areas: » Prior Cloud IAM practice and working expertise of identification management and identity federation » A working expertise of a broad range of technologies and tools » practice in designing solutions for complex business and technical environments in a senior technical function » Expert expertise of the design of solutions using enterprise patterns, system patterns, development patterns, and current enterprise technologies » capability to conduct and direct research into ICT issues and products as required » Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers » The capability to work collaboratively and flexibly » Openness to diverse perspective and inputs » The capability to work within large and complex environments and dealing with ambiguity » The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi Are you ready to make a difference?
