Or perhaps you have practice from back home, and would like to see how it's different here? Come and join us for a summer and see if it's for you - we could also make this position longer term for the right person. Our business strives to operate at best practice in every aspect - people, environment, animal welfare, and health and safety. For us, doing better in the world with how we farm everyday is what drives us, and we want people around us who focus on the same. Due to our two Irish students finishing up, We are seeking for someone to replace them on farm for summer, or longer term. practice isn't necessary - we love training new people into our team. We are seeking for people who have: - &n bsp; good work ethic - &n bsp; great attitude - &n bsp; team player mentality - &n bsp; trustworthiness - &n bsp; pride in their work and workplace What we offer: - Flexible work environment (we want you to achieve your goals outside of work too) - Focus on fair working hours and expectations, from mid January we milk twice a day on Mon, Wed and Fri, and only once a day Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun. - An environment where formal learning and progression is encouraged for all team members - A positive team environment - A simple system that means you don't need prior practice - The opportunity to be part of a team that farms at best practice We have accommodation on farm available which is a single furnished unit. We pay hourly, and are happy to put a minimum or maximum hours agreement in, but would estimate you will work around 40-45 hours on average a week over summer. Start date is flexible between mid November and the start of December, and this function could be longer term or permanent by combining with work on our other Ashburton farm. For Somebody with practice, we can offer a higher function. The farm is located at Lauriston, 15 minutes from Ashburton, and 10 minutes from Methven, and an hour from Christchurch central. We are close to many outdoor opportunities, such as mountain biking, walking tracks, and Mt Hutt skifield.
