This is a paid contracted position, with proven pathways into the industry.The candidate must be a New Zealand resident, over 18 years of age, and hold a full drivers license. Previous Production Management practice is a plus, but we will consider anyone with a technical background - lighting, sound, stage management or similar. We are seeking to fill this position byJune 16, the prosperous candidate would then shadow our current Production Manager for regular production meetings and preparation for our production of Oliver! at the Aotea Centre . They would then continue to shadow and assist for our intense production week,June 25 - July 3rd.Following the wrap up of Oliver!, we would engage in a comprehensive mentoring process, to enable the candidate to act as Production Manager for our Wendyprogramme - rehearsals commencing August 2022 , with the production week 27 November - 4th Decemberat the Aotea Centre .The terms of employment would be a part time contract, involving regular production meetings and reporting sessions leading up to an intense two week period around the production. The intention would be for this contract to be renewed for two more productions in 2023. Mentors include our Artistic Director, Jonathan Alver, Chief Executive James Doy, and our current Production Manager, Spencer Earwaker. There would also be significant input and support from the Auckland Live production team, and we will arrange additional professional development opportunities during the contract. Spencer has just taken on a full-time position with Auckland Live , after working in the NYT programme for the past three years. Previous graduates include Jamie Blackburn, Khalid Parkar and Gabriel Ford.
