Job Description

Auckland Museum is seeking a Teu le V? Coordinator on a permanent full-time basis who will provide administrative support to the Pule Le V? to assist with the achievement of Teu Le V? strategic and operational objectives.
Your smooth and efficient coordination expertise will support the Pule Le V? of the Museum in strengthening Teu Le V? across the Museum and with Pacific communities.
You will be someone who exemplifies manaaki can work professionally and constructively with a wide variety of people at a variety of levels including other Museum managers, staff, Executive Team Directors, iwi and M?ori, Pacific, culture and heritage and other external stakeholders.

   » Proven administration and coordination expertise practice
   » Strong written and verbal communication expertise
   » Manaakitanga practice
   » Commitment and practice in Teu Le V?
   » A passion for dynamic museums and for working in a cross functional team environment
   » An capability to anticipate needs and take initiative especially with Pacific visitors, advisory groups, partners, and stakeholders
   » Strong time management with the capability to multi-task and work within tight timeframes
   » An capability to make sense of information from a range of sources, and to know when and how to elevate issues (and possible solutions) as needed
   » Basic proficiency of at least one Pacific language, Pacific protocols and expertise of Pacific communities, organisations, groups and networks across Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific
   » A mature approach, discretion and sound judgement
   » High standards of professionalism, dress and integrity
   » A hard worker, who is productive, proactive and can meet milestones to a high standard.
   » A strong team person who is flexible, contributes constructively to team goals and activities and can work independently as needed
