Someone who is proactive, passionate about community organisations and demonstrates initiative will thrive in this function. About the function As we enter into an exciting period of growth of the food rescue sector, We are seeking for someone who is practiced in communications, and developing and implementing digital marketing and social media strategies. The right person will be organised, passionate about supporting the food rescue sector and someone who excels in developing and implementing targeted communication and advocacy strategies. The Communications Lead is responsible for the engagement of our food rescue organisations and stakeholders. The function includes developing, maintaining, and implementing the digital content calendar, updating the website, developing and maintaining PR/marketing and engagement, copywriting, superviseing graphic design, and other communications and administrative tasks as required. The function will promote the value of food rescue organisations, in reducing food waste and increasing food security. It is envisaged that this function will start at 3 days a week for the first year. Your main focus initially will be maintaining our digital and social communications with our food rescue organisations. This includes sending out our Mailchimp EDM, survey's, stakeholder mapping, and eventually helping revise our website design/content/delivery. It is anticipated that the function will engage across all our stakeholder base which includes developing, maintaining implementing communications and advocacy plans and reporting on the effectiveness of those plans. function : 3 days a week, 8 hours a day, 12 month contract initially, flexible, with an expectation of self-determined time management.
