Job Offer: Advisor, Strategy Unit:Central Agency Shared ServicesJob description:Job DescriptionThe Strategy Unit in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet is responsible for advising the Prime Minister on key strategic medium-term issues. This is an opportunity to work at the centre of government and be involved in the provision of strategic advice.We are pursuing practiced advisory professionals to advise on, and from time to time, lead work on key areas of strategic importance. Ideal candidates will have advanced tertiary qualifications and broad practice advising senior decision makers on strategy or policy. To be considered for these functions you will have strong policy analysis expertise, the intellectual capacity to see connections between issues and across time, and the analytical agility to work across a broad range of topics. You will be comfortable working in a high autonomy environment, dealing with high degrees of ambiguity and uncertainty, and exercising discretion and judgement. You will be a thought leader as well as a leader of people. You will have a track record in building high trust relationships and in working with others to deal with problems constructively. To be eligible for this position, you must be able to attain and maintaina confidential security clearance. Secondments from other government agencies are welcomed.
