Lodge adjunct - All Rounder:Job description:Lodge adjunct - All RounderPayment: Paid Position ($22.75)Job location: Pureora Forest Region: Palmerston North/Manawatu/Wanganui practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 20/07/2022 Lodge adjunct – All-Rounder The Timber Trail Lodge is situated at the halfway point of the Timber Trail located in the centre of the North Island - nestled in the heart of Pureora Forest. The lodge primarily provides accommodation, transport and bike hire for users on the Timber Trail which is one of New Zealand’s most renowned Great Rides. We are currently looking to continue our outstanding customer practice and seek an equally outstanding team of hospitality all-rounders to join us for the coming season. The function includes a range of customer service functions including front of house, food and bar service, kitchen and food preparation, housekeeping and administration. We provide a thorough induction and job training in a supportive team environment. We are seeking for candidates with great customer service ethic and the capability to work in a team environment. candidates must be able to work on roster across all days of the week. Although not essential we would welcome people with hospitality and/or cooking practice and/ or qualifications including bar manager licence. Couples are welcome to apply. Given the remote location, access to transport in and out of the forest is recommended. This is a valuable opportunity to gain practice and qualifications in tourism and hospitality such as Food Control Qualification, First Aid Certificate and Bar Managers Certificate. We will look at candidates who either travel-in or live-in. The live-in crew are accommodated in comfortable and private on-site cabins.
