Information technology is home to a unique mix of collections and practices and our vision is to educate and inspire the innovators of tomorrow.We are pursuing a dynamic and results driven Senior Communications Advisor to work across external and internal communications. If you have a strong toolkit of communications strategies and practice, and public relations initiative, this function will compensate you with its variety and opportunities to be creative as well as corporate. This is a multi-faceted and interesting function supporting all areas of communications and the brand engagement of a family-friendly science and technology museum. You will be part of an engaged and hard-working team who have each other's backs. You will also be supported by a Communications Coordinator and responsible for mentoring and leading them in their work and development. Key highlights of this function: » You will be the communications lead for everything from building relationships with media and PR stakeholders to increase opportunities, developing communications strategies and plans, written communications and report writing, to social media content and management, internal communications, facilitating media and filming requests and contributing to key stakeholder events. » Developing and managing the annual communications plan, in line with the overall Marketing and Communications Strategy, maintaining an organisation-wide view of communication needs. » Working with the External Relations Manager and the Senior Marketing Advisor to create, grow and uphold the MOTAT Brand voice. » Developing and managing the Museum's internal communications programme to maximise staff engagement, consciousness and support for MOTAT's strategic objectives, culture and values. To be prosperous in this function you will be a positive, flexible, self-motivated team player with a solid background in communications and a specific focus on public relations. Information technology is crucial that you have the confidence to engage with people at all levels to develop positive working relationships, with the capability to mentor and support the Communications Coordinator. You will have demonstrated strengths in managing brand perceptions, stakeholder needs and media relationships. You will need a minimum of 5 years Communications and Public Relations practice preferably within the community, arts, culture or social development sectors. A significant qualification, along with high degree of computer literacy, strong administrative, time management and project management expertise are also required. You will have practice using digital channels for communication purposes and proven high-level writing expertise.
