Then apply now!For our 40th year we will be presenting The Tempest, directed by Megan Evans, at the Dell in the Botanic Gardens. Applications for Expressions of Interest for the positions in the Production Team, including the functions of; Production Manager, Stage Manager, Design, Marketing, Lighting and Sound technicians are now open for the Wellington Summer Shakespeare production in February 2023. For over 35 years Wellington Summer Shakespeare has presented performances of Shakespearean works for the general public and schools supporting the participation and development of emerging artists and young people in the performing arts. We aim to make the performances as enjoyable and accessible as possible for diverse performers, production crew and audiences. Summer Shakespeare is unique in Wellington because Information technology is the only large scale outdoor theatrical production in the region. Information technology is not just a play but an ?event' that brings together town and gown, community, student, teacher, professional and amateur - all ages and ethnicities. As a part of the Production Team you will be working closely with the director, general manager and the board to execute the production in February 2023. Auditions will be held in October and rehearsals will be on a part -time basis from November-February. Please apply with the function you wish to be considered for in the heading of your application.
