With a team of 30 permanent staff, this organisation is forward thinking and are actively working on changing how they work. Offering flexible working, an additional 10 days leave a year, and a close-knit community, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
Working across both the Equity, M?ori & Pacific Health Research and the Strategy and Policy Teams, this person will have full visibility of the organisation and will help develop and implement the strategic direction of the organisation. You will need to bring te ao M?ori perspectives to effectively work for and engage with M?ori and support leadership abilities for equity across the organiastion. This includes advising on and contributing to strategy, policy, projects and results as well as monitoring implementation and progress. Your capability to build strong and valuable networks will be key to developing and contributing to the organisation’s strategic direction, relationships and communications strategy.
To succeed in the function, you will need a long-term view that will ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of health research in Aotearoa New Zealand, and an active commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, with an knowledge of the unique status of M?ori as tangata whenua.
Your practice:
   » An knowledge of, and capability to bring te ao M?ori perspectives to the function and a commitment to improving health equity
   » A PhD or other post graduate qualification in health or health research, or public policy or equivalent practice
   » An in-depth knowledge of health research, methodologies, and health issues in Aotearoa New Zealand
   » A proven track record of delivering excellent policy advice, development and implementation
   » practice leading change driven by strategic results and a track record of prosperously navigating complex environments
