The ideal candidate will have proven practice in a variety of screen technologies. They will also have a solid expertise of game engines, VFX and animation software, and other technologies connected with immersive and interactive production. this function will see the candidate working on a day to day basis, with students, staff, and external parties on our Wellington Campus, working on a variety of creative projects and productions. They will also be working with academic staff to help develop and deliver teaching content. This is a three year fixed-term appointment. Ko Wai M?tou? Te Rewa o Puanga was established to respond to New Zealand's growth and internationally recognised reputation for innovation and creativity in both screen arts and music. Information technology is staffed by internationally acclaimed and award-winning practitioners and is equipped with state of the art facilities, including one of the largest and most high-tech recording studio complexes in the region. The School delivers two undergraduate degree programmes, the Bachelor of Screen Arts with Honours (starting 2023) and the Bachelor of Commercial Music. The BSA(Hons) offers majors in Film Production, Factual Production, Animation, Game Development, Immersive Media, VFX and Media Technology. The Bachelor of Commercial Music offers majors in Music Practice, Music Technology and Music Industry. The School also offers an Honours programme for Commercial Music as well as a Master of Creative Enterprise (MCE). The MCE is designed for students who are looking to apply professional strategies intrinsic to creative disciplines to develop and commercialise their practice.
