Our Data Management and Information Delivery unit in our Insights Group is growing and We are seeking for an Agile Coach to help us deliver on our work programme. We are a busy team who work together to ensure that the information the Ministry collects is made available to others in a form that is useful and appropriately structured.
The Data Management and Information Delivery (DMaID) team is a critical part of Insights and the wider Ministry. We are the kaitiaki (guardians) of data, responsible for data stewardship by leading practice to ensure that privacy, ethics and access is fair and transparent. We develop and maintain business rules and provide advice on data quality.
The Agile Coach will provide specialist advice, training and coaching on agile ways of working with teams, programmes and projects. They will provide a strong focus building the capcapability of others, as well as provide advice and input on agile into our change practices, processes, frameworks, tools and guidelines. They will also share responsibility for providing the management of both virtual and physical workshop spaces, including the design and facilitation of workshops and visual portfolio management artefacts.
About the function:
Over the last five years MSD has been evolving our delivery approach using the SaFE (Scaled Agile Framework), agile principles and practices at scale. DMaID are looking for a talented Agile Coach to join our dynamic Insights and Strategy team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of New Zealand's largest data warehouse platforms in government and be part of the motivational force that empowers our teams to meet delivery goals, increase product capabilities and services to our clients.
As an Agile Coach your:
Key Job responsibilities:
   » Guidance, coaching and advice across the DMaID unit, supporting the Portfolio and Programme Managers
   » Create, development and maintain a framework for performance measures, metrics, and tracking.
   » Risk identification and mitigation and issue identification and resolution
   » Thought leadership abilities and subject matter skills in Agile practices
   » Strong relationship management
   » capability to communicate and coach in a range of situations from simple to complex
Know How:
   » practice in working in an enterprise or transformation programme management office or significant consultancy function
   » Demonstrated practice in supporting a large change programme, ideally at least 5 years' practice, delivery new and changes to critical business services
   » Demonstrated practice in all significant areas of technical skills
   » Exceptional expertise of current thinking of the best practices to deliver large scale change
