Job Opportunity: Clinical Teaching Associate:MasseyUniJob description:Job DescriptionCollege of HealthPalmerston North The School of Nursing at Massey University is seeking to appoint practiced Clinical Teaching Associates (CTAs) who can supervise nursing students in clinical placements. As an essential member of the School of Nursing teaching team you can make a significant contribution to maintaining the high quality of the Bachelor of Nursing (BN) and the Master of Clinical Practice (MCP) programmes. We are pursuing to fill four positions in the wider Manawat? region. Being a CTA for Massey University will include a specific orientation and continuing education to enable supportive teaching, coaching and supervision for student nurses. The CTA function will contribute to the clinical education of individual students, and of small groups of students, in specific clinical areas within the pre-registration BN and MCP programmes. CTAs facilitate clinical learning and strengthen collegial relationships with health providers and iwi. There are opportunities to work across multiple speciality areas and with students in different years of programmes, or in a single area of speciality practice, such as medical, surgical, mental health and primary health care nursing. You will need the following: » Registration as a nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand » Current annual practising certificate » Postgraduate qualification is desirable » Two years of post-registration nursing practice in a significant clinical area » Commitment to continuing practice development » Required healthcare worker vaccinations, including COVID-19 vaccinations What’s on offer? These positions could be either casual or fixed-term appointments within the university academic year, 14 February 2022 – 25 November 2022. The hours are flexible.
