You will be reporting to the Financial Controller and mentoring junior staff. You will be the point of contact responsible for providing expert financial accounting advice. The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for delivering the following: » Leading month end reporting » Deliver quality financial advice, analysis and services in relation to the financial accounting area » Ensure the financial policies are kept up to date » Partnering with the Financial Controller and the financial leadership abilities team to implement the Finance agenda and the strategy for the team » Maintaining oversight of the financial control environment, and developing and improving the Ministry's financial services and accounting policies and processes » Establishing and developing productive relationships with finance teams and with the Treasury Ideal candidate will have: » Chartered Accountant with at least 3 years of post-qualification practice with strong technical accounting expertise » Proactive with capability to focus on system, process and reporting improvements » Strong communication, problem solving, analytical and influencing expertise » capability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders (internal and external) If you are interested in this opportunity please click the APPLY NOW button.
