We connect, showcase and develop young creatives through strategic partnerships and collaborations within the creative sector and beyond. After recruiting our Board and going full-time in 2020, YANZ is launching into an exciting strategic period with a focus on expanding our holistic impact for rangatahi.To ensure our values and strategic goals cultivate cultural safety for all rangatahi we work with, one of our priorities at YANZ is to embrace cultural competency at all levels of our mahi - including governance. Subsequently, we look towards this new era as an opportunity to bring Aotearoa's diverse voices to the forefront of our strategic k?rero. We arerecruiting up to 3 additional trustees to deepen the cultural competency and youth representation of our governance. We are searching for trustees with the following expertises and perspectives: » Te Ao M?ori and organisational journeys honouring Te Tiriti » Pasifika expertises and practice in culturally competent service » Rangatahi/youth perspectives In addition, the following attributes are desirable, but not necessary: » Involvement in the creative arts and/or youth development » Have a strong personal/professional network While prior practice on boards is valuable, this most certainly is not a condition for applying -especially for interested youth/rangatahi. Most importantly, we are searching for board members that are willing to strengthen Youth Arts New Zealand's valuesand bring fresh perspectives to how we might consciously realise our strategic goals.
