The Ministry of Education is committed to inclusive practice and all our PB4L initiatives aim to encourage pro-social behaviour that leads to improved learner engagement and achievement. We work alongside families, early childhood educators, schools, and other agencies in order to make a positive difference for children and young people. PB4L School Wide [hyperlink]is a whole school approach to improving learner behaviour and achievement. School Wide Practitioners provide training and continuing coaching to School-Wide teams set up within the school. They work with these school teams to implement consistent and sustainable behaviour support systems that promote quality teaching and learning. We are pursuing a qualified and practiced specialist to join our school wide team in the Wellington Region. The prosperous applicant will be required to be located in the Wellington area. Our ideal candidate for the full-time, permanent position will have undertaken post-graduate studies in behaviour management and be a psychologist. Candidates for the part-time positions can be psychologists, SEAs, or teachers. All candidates should have proven competence in adult learning, working with teachers in schools to reduce challenging student behaviours; be confident presenters and facilitators with groups of educators and demonstrate strong relationship management and influencing expertise.
