We do this by working with others to ensure the children, young people and students of the future are competent, connected, life-long learners. this function is located in the Ministry’s Learning Support team, and will require regular travel within the wider Waikato region. Learning Support refers to the additional support provided to children and young people with a diverse range of needs. About the function As a Service Manager you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of dedicated professionals (e.g. Education Psychologists, Speech Language Therapists) in the development, co-ordination and provision of services aimed at improving social and educational results for children and young people with learning support needs. As part of the Regional Learning Support management team, you will also contribute to service development, collaborative problem solving and business planning across the Waikato Region. The implementation of the Learning Support Delivery Model will require interagency practice and high levels of influencing and collaborating expertise.
