About the function You will be assisting with and providing high quality care to patients undergoing Interventional Radiology & Cardiology procedures and is similar to working in Operating Theatres. The working hours for the function are Monday – Friday with participation in an afterhours on call roster expected once fully trained. tasks include: • Providing nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology or cardiology procedures • Assisting with interventional procedures in scrub & circulating nurse functions • Preparing patients effectively for procedures • Supporting patients during procedures • Safely caring for patients following procedures • Maintaining a safe environment within the department About you - At least two year’s post registration practice in an acute setting preferably with practice in Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab, Operating Theatre or Cardiac or Vascular Nursing. - Someone who is energetic, positive and highly motivated, who has the capability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team performing elective, acute and emergent procedures. - The capability to work under pressure.
