This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and will be critical in overseeing and improving production processes in terms of quality whilst also providing technical support to the Production Team. The Production Engineer is responsible for implementing a high quality, low volume, high values production environment for our IKE Device Line. The IKE is a complex system of Android based computers, Optics, Lasers, Precision GPS systems in a rugged enclosure. Together, we are building the power and communications infrastructure of the future. THE ROLE ? Measuring and reporting factory throughput and waste ? Responsible for quality of produced goods ? Responsible for good upkeep of all factory work stations, jigs fixtures etc ? Proactively finding and prioritizing areas for improvement ? Scoping improvement projects ? Maintaining Work Instructions ? Managing internal experts, and external contractors to deliver specifics technical assistance ? Manage RMA IKE device - triage, repair, return ? Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems for IKE device ? Assist Operations Manager to maintain manufacturing records i.e. test result, BOM update ? Assist Operations Manager on inventory management and stock take. ? Become expert on all aspects of IKE production ? 10% of time spent on Production line ? Maintain clean & tidy production environment ? Project management ? Hardware device assembly experience ? Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach ? Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information ? Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment ? Setup and measuring of quality metrics ? Ability to present data effectively ? Excellent understanding of quality control principles ? Computer Proficiency - Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office applications. ? Communication Skills ? ESD awareness ? Attention to detail ? Health & Safety conscious ? Self-motivated, flexible, proactive and committed ? Good Understand low value high value manufacturing environments ?
