We’re looking for hard-working, talented and motivated Analysts (Level 1 and Level 2) to work in Te K?hui Whakatau (Treaty Settlements) where we negotiate the settlement of historical Treaty of Waitangi claims.

Te Arawhiti means ‘the bridge’. The name symbolises the bridge between M?ori and the Crown, the past and the future, and the journey from grievance to partnership. Te Arawhiti’s kaupapa is to re-set, sustain and build the M?ori – Crown relationship towards true Treaty partnership by:
Settling historical Treaty of Waitangi claims; resolving longstanding and contemporary Treaty issues; engaging with M?ori on Takutai Moana; upholding the Crown’s Treaty settlement commitments; actively supporting Crown agencies to engage effectively with M?ori; putting the M?ori – Crown relationship at the heart of policy making; lifting public sector capcapability to work with M?ori; brokering M?ori – Crown partnerships; and partnering in Covid-19 response and recovery.
When you join us we’ll provide you with practices, variety and challenges that will enhance your career. You’ll develop your leadership abilities expertise by contributing to the broader capcapability of the office.
He p?kenga tou/expertise and practice
This involves working with iwi groups as well as with a wide variety of government agencies and local government; as well as providing high quality advice to Ministers to produce fair and enduring settlements of historical Treaty grievances and restore the relationship between the Crown and iwi.
Every day is different: you might lead work on a wide variety of issues from historical to public issues, engage with wh?nau, hap? and iwi, draft reports to Ministers with much in between.

income range per annum:
   »Analyst Level 1: The appointing income for this function will be between $54,689 and $71,417 located on expertise and practice
   »Analyst Level 2: The appointing income for this function will be between $63,019 and $82,295 located on expertise and practice
