The function The team are responsible for supporting the Ministry’s policy response to a number of external inquiries, including the Waitangi Tribunal Kaupapa Inquiry programme, the Royal Commissions of Inquiry into Abuse in Care and the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Covid 19 Lessons. You’ll be leading a robust team and collaboratively working with other policy teams within a Policy group of 30. You’ll be leading key work programmes, and seeing some chunky policy projects across the line. Other core expertise include: • Proven practice providing strategic policy advice to Senior leadership abilities and Minister’s. • practice in leading, developing and managing high performing teams. • Highly developed analytical expertise. • Comprehensive expertise of the policy development process, and of parliamentary processes and working legislation.
