Opportunity for Principal and Policy Analysts in the Family and Community Policy Group
   » Broad range of health and social sector policy
   » capability to influence and work with cross agency stakeholders
   » Three Wellington located permanent positions and one fixed-term position in the Family and Community Health Policy Group
The Family and Community Health Policy Group works on a range of cross cutting health and social issues, including child and youth wellbeing, family and sexual violence, primary and community health care, women’s health, homelessness and the social determinants of health. You will work with other agencies and the health and discapability sector to provide advice on improving results for all New Zealanders.
We’d love for you to join us in our Family and Community Health Policy Group. You’ll bring a thorough knowledge of public policy issues and will understand how to reflect Te Tiriti and equity in your work. You will get to work on a broad range of health and social issues, with good opportunities for professional development and a supportive team environment.
As a collaborator, you’ll work well with people across the health and discapability sector and other government agencies. You’ll be able to use data analysis and research to evidence advice and you’ll bring with you a strong capability to take complex information and make Information technology significant across a range of audiences. You’ll understand the machinery of government and know how to work with others to get things done.
If you’re a Principal, you will be comfortable sharing your knowledge and mentoring others to further develop their policy expertise. You’ll be a thought leader for our group and across the health and discapability system.
If you’re a Policy Analyst, you’ll take learning the policy craft seriously and will work with others to further build your analytical expertise.
At times you will be part of virtual teams across the Ministry and sector, including policy, operational and clinical stakeholders.
