Our Client
Our client is a specialist medical practice located in Epsom, providing skills care by a team of 4 highly qualified surgeons, a nurse specialist, physiotherapists, a practice manager and two secretaries.
The function of Medical Secretary is a shared front desk function. Information technology is a diverse and busy function requiring patient communication skills, flexibility, initiative, and self-management with the availability to be a team player. This position is an integral part of our Practice as you will be the first point of contact with patients and visitors and provide efficient, friendly and effective administration support.
The Position
   » The smooth operation of the administration and hospital operation is a key part of this function, greeting patients warmly, advising if any delays, receiving payments and entering patient information onto the patient management system
   » Then as part of a Medical Administrator have telephone liaison with patients, confirming appointments, providing patients with preparatory information before consults and updating patient info as required. Also filling of documents need upmost attention to detail.
   » Also scanning paperwork accurately, Patient file management, have patient documentation ready for the Doctors and ensure tests are complete
   » Reception tasks with patient contact (phone and face to face) making appointments and organising and managing clinics. Processing patient accounts – invoicing and receipting. Processing referrals and collating patient information.
   » Organising operations, managing booking and admission processes, and liaising with other Specialists, Hospital Staff, Suppliers etc.
You
   » We are seeking for Somebody with some practice from the Medical sector eg administration/receptionist who is confidential, highly efficient and appreciative of how crucial attention to detail is.
   » You will be engaging, happy to help others, and genuinely enjoy patient interaction, including calmly managing any patients under stress.
   » practice with Profile Management System would be an advantage.
   » Computer proficiency with medical dictaphone typing skills and a high level of accuracy.
   » Excellent spoken English skills are essential.
   » A Bachelor of Health Science Graduate with administrative work practice may also suit
