Job Offer: Calf Rearer:Job description:Calf RearerPayment: Paid Position ($20-25 practice dependant)Job location: Methven Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: Limited practice Necessary Contact: mathewgordon32@gmail.com Listing Added: 19/06/2021 CALF REARER We are seeking for a Calf Rearer to join us for the upcoming busy calving season (15th July - Early October) This is a support function, working closely with the Senior Calf rearer. practice is preferred but not essential and training can be given if required. We are seeking for someone who has excellent communication expertise, punctual, patient and gentle with the calves. English speaking is essential and a certian level of fitness/strength is ideal too as Information technology can be a physical job at times. We rear approxiamtely 300 calves, feeding twice a day (a few hours break inbetween, enough time for a few runs up the mountain on the snow!) We run a 6 on 1 off roster We are located at the bottom of Mt Hutt Skifield - 10minutes from Methven, 35minutes from Ashburton and 1hr15min from Christchurch. Furnished accomodation on farm can be provided if required. If at the end of the calving season you are enjoying life on the farm, there may be further work available, milking cows and general farm work. Skills:
