About the function
This newly established function supports the Vice-Chancellor and Senior Leaders as they advance the work of the University through pan-University programmes and projects. The Head of the TMO will develop and manage a framework for strategic portfolio management at the University that is aligned with the University’s strategy and planning framework. Key to success in the function is to connect complex work streams horizontally as well as vertically. The function will also ensure that the establishment and management of the portfolio is delivered in a way that is responsive to AUT’s Tiriti Framework.

You will have broad and broad portfolio management practice working with large complex organisations. Your expertise will include:
   » Confidence in working with Executive and Senior Leaders in large complex organisations
   » Business change and change management practice
   » Strong diplomatic expertise
   » Sound problem solving expertise and capability to resolve complex issues
   » The capability to provide accurate and up to date portfolio analysis, dashboards and reports to enable the Vice-Chancellor and senior leaders to make informed investment decisions
