Job Opportunity: Au Pair Southland:Job description:Au Pair SouthlandPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($22/hr)Job location: drummond/Otautau Region: Southland/Fiordland practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 26/05/2022 We are pursuing an enthusiastic and energetic au pair who is passionate about children to help care for our four children. We are running my family dairy farm and are located in Drummond, Southland. We are a short 2hr scenic drive from Queenstown, 1hr from Te Anau and a short 35 minute drive to Riverton. Our children are Zia our Daughter who is 11 (12 in July), George our son is 9yrs old and we have twins Tom and Ellie who are 2 years old. We are in need an extra pair of hands to make life a little less hectic during calving period as I will be rearing the calves and helping on farm where needed. This position is a live out position but with a warm modern furnished 2bedroom cottage supplied. The job will involve helping look after the twins and getting kids ready for school, drop offs and pick ups from the bus stop, helping complete homework, getting kids to afterschool activites (rugby practice) and some light housework, vacuuming, washing and can include cooking some main meals. Basically keeping the ball rolling with the kids and household when I am busy outside on farm. The job is usually Monday to Friday with 2 days off per week but sometimes Information technology might be that the days off are during the week if you are needed during the weekend. Hours of work are approximatly 7am-11 am and 3pm -630pm but could be more. Zia and George are energetic kids and enjoy farming, mud, the outdoors, netball, rugby, swimming and arts and crafts, Tom and Ellie are turning into chilled wee dudes who are energetic, cheeky, busy and great fun who also love getting outdoors. I enjoy fitness and getting out and about for a run or walk and playing squash when I can, Bayden loves hunting and boating with the family. Start date is flexible but rough start date would be from late July through until early October and we would prefer someone for a minimum of 8weeks. We do provide a car that can be used for personal use during your employment with us to help you explore the South. Previous Au Pair/nanny practice is preferred.
