The Company Te Atamira, meaning platform or stage in te reo, is planned to open in early 2022. Information technology is a new 1400m2 arts and cultural facility in Queenstown. They are looking for an exceptional individual to join their team as an adjunct Curator. This is a brand new function and the prosperous candidate has the opportunity to help shape Te Atamira's future. You will be joining a small but dedicated team to create fit for purpose facilities and a new platform for arts and culture in the Whakatipu. Reporting to and supporting the Director , this function providesmanaakitangain the development and delivery of exhibitions, publications, events and projects that will engage visitors and work with a variety of stakeholders from the local arts community to international artists and groups. To be prosperous in this function the candidate should be an excellent communicator, have a background and qualification in the arts, communications or marketing or events, a drive to getting stuff done (inspiration is great but so is pragmatism!), be highly organised and have an knowledge of and practice in toi Maori arts practices.
