Job Offer: Yam Grader:Job description:Yam GraderPayment: Paid Position ($20 + holiday pay)Job location: Rakaia Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 15/04/2021 We are seeking for people who are dependable, willing, efficient and fit to work on our Yam harvester (similar to potatoe harvester) or in our Pack House. The Yams are very sensitive to start with so some gentleness is required at the start. Our company is horticulture located so is approved for those on working holiday visas or RSA visas. Hours can be weather dependant for harvest and order dependant for the pack house but we aim to get full weeks in where possible and generally Monday to Friday 8-4.30/5pm. We are seeking at starting around 10th May and harvest will go till end of August and grading may go till November/December but we can work around this if you canot commit to full season. We are situated about 5 minutes out of Rakaia township, 40 minutes south of Christchurch and 20 minutes north of Ashburton. We do not offer accomodation and you will need your own vehicle.
