About Pay Equity The Pay Equity team is responsible for investigating and settling education sector pay equity claims. This is done in conformity with the State Sector Pay Equity Claims Framework and the requirements of the Equal Pay Amendment Act 2020. Pay equity means that people are paid equally for doing work of equal value. Information technology acknowledges the value of the expertise, responsibilities and demands of workers in female dominated occupations that have suffered from gender-located discrimination because of perceptions and prejudices about the value of “women’s work”. About this function The Senior Communications Advisor – Pay Equity is responsible for developing engaging content to support a wide variety of stakeholders, including schools and kura, education sector employees and the wider community, on the investigation and settlement of Education sector pay equity claims, and the implementation of such settlements. this function will help develop engaging content, and assist with the implementation of change and communication strategies related to pay equity claims. About you To be prosperous in this function, you will be an excellent communicator, with well-developed writing expertise. You will have the capability to take a strategic oversight focus on issues and be adept at meeting strategic and tactical business needs.
