The Test Manager function is the ideal opportunity for a forward thinking, ambitious and practiced professional to join ACC at a time of transformational change. As the Test Manager, you will be taking a lead function in maintaining and driving the maturity of the overall testing capcapability including, but not limited to, test automation, performance testing, policies and procedures, test tooling and methodologies. The function is responsible for managing multiple large streams of work to the required quality standards. This includes managing the overall test activities and workload of other test professionals as required. The Test Manager provides significant support and thought leadership abilities to ensure that the manager enterprise testing capcapability can deliver on their accountabilities. To be prosperous in this function you will need a strong background in software testing and proven practice in Test Management working in large programmes of work as at Test Manager. You will have a good knowledge of and practical practice in testing techniques, coupled with an in-depth knowledge and knowledge of the full test life cycle, particularly as Information technology fits with the overall solution development life cycle methods, tools, controls and techniques. Your past practice will demonstrate a practiced and motivational professional who has strong customer focus and interpersonal expertise, together with proven practice in mentoring and coaching others to fulfil their potential. You will also have the capability to drive innovation and adopt new ways of working. What We are seeking for from you to be prosperous in this function: » More than eight years’ practice in software testing and four years of this in test management » Has practice in working in large programmes of work as a Test Manager and has delivered a stream of work as part of this delivery » Good knowledge of and practical practice in testing techniques » knowledge of the full test life cycle, particularly as Information technology fits with the overall solution development life cycle methods, tools, controls and techniques (e.g. SAFe, agile, etc.) » capability to make decisions at the appropriate time; taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availcapability of necessary information » practice in mentoring and coaching others to fulfil their potential » capability to produce well-structured and easily understood documentation and make persuasive presentations that can be understood by stakeholders » Problem-solving expertise and able to confidently work through risks, issues or conflicts raised » capability to drive innovation and adopt new ways of working Working at ACC We know that a diverse and inclusive team helps us meet the needs of our customers, and we welcome candidates from every ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, age, and those with a discapability or who have additional mental health needs.
