Our client is a professional membership organisation and not for profit.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will play an important function in enabling them to support their community of members. You will be a passionate storyteller, relationship driven and able to juggle a busy function within a small collaborative team, who work closely together.
From promoting the value of the sector to showcasing the activities of their professional community, if you relish the idea of tracking down stories and creating great content to engage a range of stakeholders across a variety of channels, this could be the job for you.
The function is varied, and you will have the scope to develop and implement new strategies and initiatives. You could be developing communication and marketing plans for new initiatives, running a member webinar, writing a promo for an event or negotiating a time for their President to be interviewed on radio. Other responsibilities include co-ordination, sourcing news, writing articles and editing a digital bi-monthly magazine, updating websites, co-ordinating monthly e-newsletters, driving social media delivering communication and marketing plan for a new grants initiative and contributing to the delivery new member engagement initiatives. .
They work in partnership with the peak body representing M?ori engaged in culture, knowledge, information, communication and systems technology in Aotearoa New Zealand and you will need to be committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and keen to develop your use and knowledge of te reo M?ori and Tikanga M?ori.
You will have a communications or related degree and ideally some practice working in communications with proven expertise and practice in content creation for a variety of channels including online, social media and print.
The function offers plenty of flexibility and autonomy, and you can work from their office or in the house, but the team like to connect in person each week. The function is either full time or four days a week (0.8FTE) depending on the applicant.
