During their 30 years in operation, they have set operational, product and safety benchmarks in the New Zealand glass industry. Currently employing more than 900 employees in a wide variety of roles including operations, glazing, commercial, driving, manufacturing, engineering and support services. Now they are on the hunt for their next Continuous Improvement Manager. The main purpose of this pivotal role is to provide support in day-to-day and strategic leadership of the operations in the plant as the nominated 2IC for the Plant Manager. You will develop and execute the continuous improvement & systems strategy for all operations to improve business performance and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing and operational efficiency by eliminating unnecessary complexity and waste. You will assist the Plant Manager in defining and establishing the culture of Continuous Improvement within the operations in the Plant. You will be the driving force for ensuring a well-structured set of tools, systems and methodologies are adopted across the site and will manage initiatives to deliver improved business outcomes and results. You will also champion an all-inclusive culture of both everyday improvement and step change improvement through Lean management and Shingo Excellence principles. This position plays a key role in leading and managing change to lift capability, align to strategy and improve performance at all levels.
